Pea gravel walkway

A path is a shallow, edged bed of rounded stone that drains and stays raked. It is a poor choice under a shed (the stones roll). It is a fair choice for feet and wheelbarrows if the edge holds.

Depth

2–3″ on fabric is the usual walkway bed. Deeper stone still moves unless you add a compacted base of crusher run under the pea.

Will it stick to shoes?

A little, when wet. A broom or a mat at the door helps. Angular #57 on a path is stabler but harsher on bare feet.

Weed barrier?

Fabric slows weeds; it does not stop them forever. Edges matter more.
